Guest guest
WWF Passport Action AlertWWF Time running out to end the tiger trade Next week delegates from 171 countries will be assembling in the Netherlands for a meeting of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species. This is the world's biggest wildlife treaty, with nearly every country in the world a member. Amongst the topics expected to be discussed is whether China will lift its successful ban on domestic trade of tiger parts. Reopening even a limited legal trade would reignite a demand for wild tiger products and spark an open season on tigers in the wild. We need to send a strong, clear and powerful message to the world that this simply cannot happen. There are 2 simple actions you can take to help protect tigers: 1. If you haven't already done so add your photo to the tiger photo mosaic. We will publicly present the mosaic at the meeting and show the world's support for tiger conservation http://www.panda.org/how_you_can_help/campaign/endtigertrade/addimage.cfm?so urce=email 2. Send a message to China. Ask China to keep its tiger trade ban in place. Your views will be personally conveyed to China's leaders. http://passport.panda.org/campaigns/campaign.cfm?uNC=41710827 & uCampaignId=15 81 If you've already completed both actions thank you! But there is still more you can do! Please forward this email onto your friends, family and co-workers. The more people who take action, the more powerful our voice will be and the greater the chance we have or making a difference. With your help we can end the tiger trade. Thank you, WWF International More than 20,000 people have added their photo to the tiger mosaic. There is still time to add yours!
