contacted via our BanOhioDogAuctions.com website by a member who is working closely with this dedicated group. Attached was her group's poster to help stop S923 from passing (NY Senator George Winner, Jr. proposed this legislation in 2005 at the urging of the Yates County Farm Bureau). Her team also included a picture of Patsy (a puppy mill rescue who lost both her eyes) as part of their campaign, and included our website address along with both Senator Winner's and Assemblyman Jim Bacalles's phone numbers. If interested in sharing your concerns regarding the proposed legislation, below is the link to contact information for Senator Winner, Assemblyman Bacalles and federal officials for Yates County: http://www.yatescounty.org/upload/12/1948.pdf Thanks in advance for your kind consideration. George Winner, a NY Senator has never seen a puppy mill, he is not convinced they exist, he apparently is not familiar with back yard breeders and he feels that "puppy farming" is a legitimate agricultural pursuit. He also believes that puppies sold in pet

stores are healthy, well-bred, well raised dogs and he can not understand what the problem is. He has proposed a bill to protect puppy farming in NY. Please read the emails below, view the piece on puppy mills in NY and politely help educate Senator Winner. Also, Sean Carroll, the reporter, plans to do a follow up piece so an email in support of opposing mills to Mr. Carroll would also help publicize the plight of NY mill dogs. Thanks, Pat Thought you ladies would be interested in seeing this. Yates county is our mini Lancaster. If you ladies could write to Sean about this, would be great.
