Beginning Tuesday, the CTA will reroute nine buses away from lane reductions on Washington, Dearborn and Randolph Streets, according to the agency. The No. 14 Jeffery Express, No. 20 Madison, No. X20 Washington/Madison Express, No. 56 Milwaukee, No. 60 Blue Island/26th and No. 127 Madison/Roosevelt Circulator buses will be diverted from Washington at South Wacker Drive, travel south to Monroe Street and then go east on Monroe to Michigan Avenue. The No. 20, No. X20, No. 56 and No. 60 will continue northbound on Michigan Avenue. The No. 14 and No. 127 will go southbound on Michigan Avenue. To accommodate the new routes, there will be four new eastbound stops along Monroe at Franklin, LaSalle and Dearborn Streets and Wabash Avenue. In the morning, the No. 129 West Loop/South Loop will go north on Dearborn, west and south on Wacker, west on Randolph and continue as normal. In the afternoon, the No. 129 will go from Washington to South Wacker, then travel east on Monroe and south on Clark Street before resuming its regular route. The No. 124 Navy Pier and No. 157 Streeterville buses will go from Washington to northbound Wacker Drive, then east toward Michigan Avenue. The No. 124 will go east on South Water Street. The No. 157 will continue north on Michigan Avenue. There will be six new bus stops added along Wacker Drive, including northbound at Randolph Street, eastbound at Wells Street, eastbound at LaSalle Street, eastbound at Dearborn Street, westbound at Clark Street and westbound at Wells Street. The southbound stop at State Street and Washington will be relocated to State and Randolph. The northbound stop at Dearborn and Randolph will be removed. Because of a bridge closure near Division and Halsted Streets, No. 70 Division buses will be rerouted Tuesday and Thursday this week and next week from 12:01 to 6 a.m. Eastbound buses bypass the closure by taking Hooker and Halsted Streets. Westbound buses will use Halsted and North Branch Street to avoid the closure. Chicago's Free Trolleys will begin free daily summer service Saturday to many of Chicago's top attractions, including Navy Pier, the Museum Campus, Michigan Avenue and Lincoln Park. All of the routes connect to at least one CTA, Metra or Amtrak stop. The trolleys will run every 20 to 30 minutes, usually from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until Labor Day weekend.
