A flood of media attention has highlighted this dog-gone disgrace, and now is the time to tell Congress to pass the Dog and Cat Fur Prohibition Enforcement Act to help put an end to it. H.R. 891, introduced by Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) and Rep. Mike Ferguson (R-NJ), would require all fur-trimmed garments to be labeled, which would help prevent dog fur from slipping into the country. And it would prohibit the sale of fur from raccoon dogs, members of the dog family who were seen being skinned alive in undercover video footage. Please take just a moment to contact your member of Congress today. Tell lawmakers that dogs should be spared from misery and consumers spared from deception. Don't forget to ask your friends and family to speak out, too. Thank you for all you do for animals! Sincerely,Wayne PacellePresident & CEOThe Humane Society of the United States P.S.
