Guest guest
National Wildlife Federation [for US Residents] What will Congress do to stop global warming in their First 100 Hours? A new era is beginning in Washington--and it's time for us to step up. The National Wildlife Federation has launched a petition asking Congress to take action on the most important issue facing America's wildlife today--global warming. Sign our petition and ask Congress to act on this critical issue in the first 100 hours: http://www.first100.org Congress has committed to making sweeping changes as its new term begins. Make sure our leaders do not ignore the threat of global warming and tell Congress to cut back oil subsidies and invest in cleaner, renewable energy sources. If every NWF member signs our petition and forwards it on to their friends and family, we can make a difference in protecting our nation's wildlife from the threat of global warming. http://www.first100.org Burning fossil fuels like oil and gas is the leading cause of global warming pollution; yet the United States continues to give away billions of tax dollars to Big Oil. These companies will avoid paying royalties on more than $65 billion worth of revenues over the next five years, costing the federal government approximately $9.5 billion. We have a choice: Let the world's biggest oil companies continue to expand their profits ($207 billion in the past two years) at the expense of consumers and the environment OR take the first important step toward stopping global warming. Please sign the petition and forward it on to your friends and family: http://www.first100.org The National Wildlife Federation's mission is to inspire Americans to protect wildlife for our children's future.
