Guest guest
I've searched and searched, but I can't find an alternative. I've heard of online virtual dissections, and I really like that idea. I live in CA, which is one of the states that you have the option to not dissect. I prefer not having to buy anything, I'd rather do it online. If anyone can send me links of an alternative to dissection, that would be great. Tons of animals are killed each year, and sent out to schools all over, so kids can dissect the corpses. Biology is the study of life, not death. Guest guest
The virtual disections, photographs and plastic models, are prob the best. I have taken apart many different animal cadavers over my years in school as a pre vet/ bio major, and to be truthful, I learned a hell of a lot more about anatomy from the lab notebook photgraphs then I ever did on some mangled dead animal. I mean, the cadavers that we use are in such soddy condition anyhow, that they do not resemble what you would ever see on the operation table or in the field!! The fleshes are discolored and everything is out of proportion due to the preservation process. Unless you are working on freshly euthanized/ or LIVE animals, you will never get a very good/ accurate physical example to learn from.~Michellecaring_vegetarian <izzy wrote: I've searched and searched, but I can't find an alternative.
