Guest guest
First of SHAC 7 heading to jail interviewed on Democracy Now 10/3/06 Today, Andrew Stepanian, an animal rights activist, began serving his three year sentence -- the first of the SHAC 7 to go to jail having been convicted of violating the Animal Enterprise Protection Act . Before he turned himself in he was interviewed by Amy Goodman of Democracy Now. You can watch that interview on line at: http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/10/03/142235 You can also read the transcript at that site, which is useful, though the interview sounds better than it reads, plus Democracy Now aired undercover footage from the Huntingdon Life Sciences laboratory. Please send Amy Goodman and 'Democracy Now' a huge thank you for the in depth coverage of the case. Positive audience response lets Goodman know that these issues matter to her listeners and viewers; it will encourage similar coverage in the future.
