Guest guest
TAKE ACTION - HELP STOP THE CRUEL FUR INDUSTRY 1- General animal fur: http://www.furisdead.com/pledge-furfree.asp 2- Seals massacre for fur: http://www.protectseals.org/ DO NOT SUPPORT THE CRIMES IN THIS INDUSTRY * BOYCOTT EVERY ENTERPRISE WHO SELLS FUR * For more info: InfoNature-Portugues/message/421 Bakers Footwear Group, a national chain with more than 200 stores, is selling rabbit-fur-trimmed boots that are labeled as “Made in China,” and we need your help! # Videos of crimes against nature: - http://getactive.peta.org/ct/1dATRIp1rmgH/- http://getactive.peta.org/ct/11ATRIp1rmgT/ PETA uncovered horrendous cruelty during an investigation of fur farms in China, which revealed that fur farmers swing raccoon dogs and foxes by their hind legs and smash their heads on the ground, injuring the animals but often leaving them conscious as they are skinned alive. When the fur is finally peeled off over animals’ heads, their naked, bloody bodies are thrown onto a pile of those who have gone before them. Some are still alive, breathing in ragged gasps and blinking slowly. Some of the animals’ hearts are still beating five to 10 minutes after they are skinned. One investigator recorded that a skinned raccoon dog on a heap of carcasses had enough strength to lift his bloodied head and stare into the camera. And there’s no telling whether Bakers Footwear’s fur is really from rabbits or if it’s from “man’s best friend.” A recent investigation found that dogs and cats in China are bludgeoned, hanged, strangled with wire nooses, and bled to death for their fur, which is often deliberately mislabeled as fur from other species and exported to the United States to be sold to unsuspecting customers. After hearing PETA’s complaints as well as consumer concerns, Bakers Footwear CEO Peter A. Edison claims that the company wants to let customers choose and must sell fur in order to be competitive. It is now more than ever extremely important for Bakers to know that there is nothing fashionable or “competitive” about skinning animals alive for their fur. Remind Bakers Footwear that you won’t shop at its stores until it stops selling all fur items and implements a permanent fur-free policy:Peter A.
