Guest guest
First the " official " statement: What is the Hospitality Club? Our aim is to bring people together - hosts and guests, travelers and locals. Thousands of Hospitality Club members around the world help each other when they are traveling - be it with a roof for the night or a guided tour through town. Joining is free, takes just a minute and everyone is welcome. Members can look at each other's profiles, send messages and post comments about their experience on the website. The club is supported by volunteers who believe in one idea: by bringing travelers in touch with people in the place they visit, and by giving " locals " a chance to meet people from other cultures we can increase intercultural understanding and strengthen the peace on our planet. And now background information for greens: Dear friends, in our days promoting ecology and sustainable development sets us apart from many people. They don't care, don't believe they can do anything about it, or simply are unaware of the problems we are facing. But, and that's my main point, we are not alone. We are many. All over the world. Promoting ecology. There are people in every corner of the world who care about those things and do everything they can to make our life on this planet more harmonious with nature. It is always great to meet others who share one's interests. But it is even greater to meet others who share one's struggle! I believe that the Hospitality Club can strengthen the environmental movement through bringing together people who fight for the same cause, inspiring each other, letting us know we are not alone. I invite you to join this network and widen your horizon! Kjell K|hne, co-founder of the Hospitality Club and environmental activist There are already a large number of ecos/greens/Greenpeace members in the Hospitality Club (you find them through our advanced search function), and we invite you to come onboard as well - signing up takes just a couple of minutes. Also, please tell all your friends about the Hospitality Club and please put a link to http://eco.hospitalityclub.org on your homepage, newsletter etc. Looking forward to seeing you onboard!
