I got involved in helping animals about a year ago after witnessing a case of animal cruelty by an old " friend " of mine (a 1 year old dog being starved to the point that it had to be put to sleep). I was looking online for places to report this girl, & found all kinds of information on animal abuse that goes on. I never knew how common & " acceptable " it was to treat animals badly, especially in the circus & food industries. Since then, I have become a lacto-ovo vegetarian, started working w/ a rescue group here in Tucson, only buy cruelty- free products, & participated in dog transports. I currently have 2 Deaf Dalmatians, Perdi & Diamond, & a betta fish, Silent Bob.
