This ordinance has already passed the first reading on May 25, 2004.There will be a council meeting on Tuesday,

June 15 at which your attendance is vital to express your opposition. Although the ordinance will not be voted on at this meeting, the council members will be taking public opinion on the ordinance. PLEASE ATTEND.The ordinance will then be up for a vote to become LAW on June 22, 2004.Parsippany-Troy Hills Municipal Building1001 Parsippany BoulevardParsippany, NJ 07054973-263-4359

This ordinance will prohibit the feeding of birds, squirrels and feral cats, among other animals. If you would like to help defeat this ordinance, please contact Barbara at 973-335-3741. ORDINANCE #2002:1991-18. Feeding of Certain Wild Waterfowl and Animals ProhibitedNo person shall feed, cause to be fed or provide food for wild geese, ducks, white-tailed deer, stray cats, bears, coyotes and other wild animals anywhere in the Township, either on public or private property. ******NJARA supports a prohibition on the feeding of bears, coyotes and certain other wildlife, however we are not supportive of a prohibition on feeding stray cats (in well-managed cat colonies) and certain wildlife. In our opinion, this ordinance is far too

broad.
