I'm not sure if I already posted this alert, so if it's a duplicate, I apologize. If you live in Illinois, please send those polite letters and be sure to tell those who made it possible for the horse slaughterhouse to reopen; ANIMALS CAN'T VOTE, BUT THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE THEM DO!!!!

 

It's a great idea to write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper/s, about how the reps. who voted against this bill, support horse slaughter, and urge your fellow constituents to vote him/her out of office when re-election time rolls around.

Sad News to Report

Dear Friends,Sadly last Friday, the Illinois House of Representatives FAILED the horses by not passing the bill to ban the slaughter of horses in Illinois for human consumption! Therefore, the DeKalb horse slaughter plant will reopen soon!The following Representatives spoke against the bill to ban the slaughter of horses for human consumption and urged fellow representatives to vote "NO" on HB 649:Rep. Charles Morrow III (D-Chicago), Rep. Frank Aguilar (R-Cicero), Rep. Robert Pritchard (R-Sycamore), Rep. Bill Black (R-Danville), Rep. Jim Sacia (R-Pecatonica) and Rep. Rich Brauer (R-Petersburg) Rep. Bob Molaro (D-Chicago), Rep. Elizabeth Coulson (D-Glenview) and Rep. John Fritchey (D-Chicago) were the only humanitarians who spoke in favor of this important humane bill on the
