Guest guest
- "Stu Chaifetz" Saturday, March 20, 2004 4:44 PMLast Chance To Save Monmouth County DeerHi everyone,Next Tuesday night, the 23rd, appears to be the last chance to stop theMonmouth County Park hunts from becoming a reality. The Monmouth County Board of Recreation Commissioners, who will make thefinal decision on the hunts, will be holding their regular meeting. We havebeen told that two weeks following this, at their next meeting, they willmake make that decision. So, this is the last chance we have to influencethem. Also, I have been told that the park staff announced this date at thelast public hearing, so we can expect the hunters to show in force.I will be making a presentation to the board, but it's up to those peoplewho live in Monmouth County to show up and take a stand. This is your homegovernment at work - let them see your outrage. The proposal calls for the opening of nine county parks, making this one ofthe single largest expansions of deer hunting in recent memory. If you havefriends or relatives in Monmouth, make sure they get active now.The meeting will be held at Tatum park, in Middletown. 352 Redhill Rd.From the parkway going north, take exit 114, make right at first light whichwill put you onto Redhill Rd. Go through the second light, and it's a mileand a half on the left.Stu Chaifetz www.HonorAndNonViolence.com Finance Tax Center - File online. File on time.
