Guest guest
ANIMALS TRAGEDY TOO: CALL MAYOR GIULIANI NOW. Dear Caring friend, PETA has a plea to ask caring people and groups to call New York City Mayor Giuliani to let animal rescuers and volunteers to get into the evacuated buildings to save the animals. They have been without food and water for the fourth day now. Also ask Mayor to set up a Task Force to rescue the animals out. Please click the following to get PETA's campaign and all of the contact information . It also lists all of the major animal groups in New York area : http://www.peta.org/aplink.html If you can , please you might as well visit Mayor's office in City Hall in New York to make your urgent request . Three PETA vehicles left Norfolk, VA and are on the ground in Manhattan, near the American Express Towers. They are manned by PETA's Community Animal Project and Domestic Animal Investigations and Abuse staff and other PETA staff. Volunteers may contact PETA directly there. Or call PETA too. thanks. - " Bruce Friedrich " <BruceF Obviously, our hearts go out to every human being affected by the tragedy at the World Trade Center. This terrible tragedy has serious repercussions for animals, too. As a result of the tremendous loss of human lives, there will undoubtedly be many animals left orphaned. Other animals are trapped in buildings that have been evacuated and to which people have learned they are unable to return. Please urge Mayor Giuliani to set up a task force to locate and rescue animals in need. To many of this disaster's victims and their families, these beloved animals are members of the family and would be a great source of comfort. PETA and other animal protection groups are willing to send trained rescuers into the buildings to take the animals out, if given the chance. We will sign waivers of liability to ease the minds of those who could otherwise be held responsible in the event of any injury or death. United Animal Nations (UAN.org) can offer assistance in mobilizing volunteers and rescuing and caring for abandoned animals. http://www.peta.org/aplink.html @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Thanks so much for your kindness, compassion and urgent help.
