MESSGE # 1 : Dear Caring friend, Wouldn't it be an excellent idea that you distribute free Veggie Sandwiches, free Veggie Burgers among thousands of family members around the collapsing World Trade Center searching for their love ones for their missing and died ? Numerous media reporters, numerous rescue workers.... are all there to help and even risking another possible collapsing buildings. This devastating situation could last for months. The collapsing area is the most attention of the world (as well as the media too). This is a very important time to help those needy. Media loves to report compassionate, helping stories. You may even set up a booth or a Family Relieve Center in the collapsing place for months. Bring your cooking ware there to help to prepare veggie sandwiches, veggie burgers and coffee too. You may place a stand with your Groups name... Give free Veggie sandwich and free coffee and hand them out to the rescue workers, media and desperate family members of the missing and deaths. They are very tired and desperate. Please be serious and compassionate to the humans disasters. Your volunteer help the disasters and give out veggie foods will pass an important message for the vegetarian movement too. PLEASE , if you can , please print a " VEGGIE " big word on the wrapping paper of veggie sandwiches or burgers when you hand them out to the people in the rubbles there. If you can, please act quick on this. You may contact some of the the veggie food companies to help your act too. thanks. They are important friends to you. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ MESSAGE # 2 : PLEASE FORWARD WIDELY - <aspca_members ASPCA sets up command center to aid animals in NY The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is responding to the plight of animals as a result of the World Trade Center disaster. The ASPCA has set up a command center and pet rescue hotline in response to the plight of pets affected by the World Trade Center disaster. The ASPCA command center is located at the corner of Houston Street and West Street at Pier 40. The ASPCA command center has a fully equipped veterinary mobile medical unit, emergency medical supplies, pet carriers, pet food, and a psychologist trained to help with pet related issues. In addition, pet owners may call to report their pet as abandoned. The number is (212)-876-7700 x4 PET. An ASPCA Law Enforcement Officer will be dispatched from the command center and escort pet owners to the location of their pet. The ASPCA has coordinated their effort with the New York City government and will be assisted by the New York City Parks Department to gain access to buildings. Although, it is not ideal, pets (dogs and cats) can survive without food and water for several days. If you know of a pet that has been left behind, please take the following steps to help: § If you know of a pet in your building that is alone and your building has not been evacuated, The ASPCA urges you to get involved and help. Attempt to gain entry to your neighbor's apartment, and provide food, water and exercise. § The ASPCA is prepared to help animals with medical conditions that are a result of this terrible tragedy.
