Dear IWC Commissioner , JAPAN has admitted for the first time that it bribed poor nations to support its pro-whaling stance and to get the whaling Ban lifted. In an interview with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Maseyuki Komatsu, the head of Japan's fishery agency, confirmed the suspicions. (please see Reference # 1 ). In just nine months, Japan killed total 600 whales from November, 2000 till July , 2001. They are now killing bloodily, massively in the northwestern Pacific ocean. All whales die in excruciating pain and agony. (see Reference # 4 ). Japan buys poor countries and then brings them to IWC(International Whaling Commission) to " vote " in Japan's favor to block Whale Sanctuary proposals and to resume the world Commercial Whaling. The Japanese Government is indeed the most cruel and barbaric government on earth despite the world repeated plea and protests. (Please see the important Reference # 6 ) We are urgently requesting you to 1: Please stand firm against any effort to weaken or undermine the international whaling ban and agreement to protect whales. 2: Please reject RMS(Revised Management Scheme) and RMP(Revised Management Procedure) in any of the IWC meeting. 3: Please urge IWC to reject memberships from all of those countries who were bribed and brought into IWC by Japan before its too late: Japan is shamelessly buying and bringing more and more small island countries to IWC to vote for Japanese favor to resume commercial whaling and block any Whale sanctuary. It is a bribery. It is a dirty and shameful act from Japanese government by using " money " to control the IWC. Those bribed countries only mess up the entire IWC whaling moratorium and its agenda.
