Guest guest
DEMAND FDA TO DISCLOSE INGREDIENTS IN PREMARIN !!! SAMPLE LETTER STARTS : (you may write your own letter if you wish. thanks): Food and Drug Administration 5600 Fishers Lane Room 1471 Rockville, MD 20857 RE: PLEASE DISCLOSE INGREDIENTS IN PREMARIN ! Dear ......., I am writing to request that the FDA require pharmaceutical companies to disclose the source of estrogens used in the manufacture of Premarin and other non-synthetic hormone replacement therapies. Specifically, I urge you to require that : & #61623; All repackaged bottles and other containers issued by pharmacies for Premarin and similar products be clearly labeled as containing estrogen derived from horse urine. & #61623; All print advertising in newspapers and magazines for Premarin and similar products clarify that these drugs are derived from the urine of pregnant mares. These estrogens have been derived from pregnant mares' urine and thousands of mares are exploited and thousands of foals are slaughtered annually to produce these drugs as the un-wanted " by-products " of the drug. To produce Premarin, pregnant mares are tethered to the front of stalls measuring just 3 1/2 to 5 feet wide and 8 feet long. For six months, while their bodies are producing the most estrogen, these mares are unable to take more than a step or two in any direction, turn around, or even lie down comfortably. Lameness often develops. Mares are forced to wear cumbersome rubber urine-collection bags, which chafe their legs and cause sores, 24 hours a day to collect their urine. They are also denied free access to water so that their urine will yield more concentrated estrogens. This can lead to renal and liver problems and cause the mares to struggle and injure themselves during water-distribution times to get to the water they so desperately crave. So that they can be put right back into production the next winter, the mares are reimpregnated within days of giving birth. A few months after giving birth, they are separated from their foals and put back on the " pee line. " Fertile mares may go through this same grueling cycle year after year. When the mares become old, infertile, or crippled, they are auctioned off for slaughter. Women should be able to make informed choices. That is why I'm requesting you to insist that the manufacturers of Premarin make full disclosure. Sincerely, name, address, city, state, zip. Country.
