Dear All,

 

You must wonder what becomes of all those letters I ask you to write on behalf of marine mammals in captivity. Well I have some good news. We have won another one! I think it is important that you know that our collective efforts DO make a difference.

 

The Virginia Beach city council pulled the plug on the $55 million dolphin tank yesterday. The fact that this tank will not get built has implications that are deeper and broader than just Virginia Beach.

 

 

This is a significant signal to the captive cetacean industry.... these prisons serve no purpose!
