Guest guest
ONE OF THE MOST COURAGEOUS WHALE PROTECTION GROUP. Dear Friend , Do you care about WHALES AND DOLPHINS PLIGHT ? While so many of the wealthy groups in the United States collected often $20 millions dollars to $80 millions dollars each year in the name of " Save The Whales " , however, the whales in the world today is facing the greatest danger than ever before. Especially the Japanese and Norwaigen explosives not only continuously murder thousands of whales a year, they are ruthlessly increasing the number of kills and urge all of the other countries to kill too. Now, they are urging the RMS (Revised Management Scheme) to be passed and formally RESUME THE COMMERCIAL WHALING IN THE WORLD. Well, which of those wealthy " Animal " Groups stretch their hands to help whales and dolphins plight ??? Other than very handful of them, we not only did not hear their Voice but also many of them continuously to help the killing countries for their RMS conspiracy agenda ! IT IS TRULY INCREDIBLE !!! While extremely disappointing at many multi-million dollars " animal " groups, we did find a young group who had shown us the greatest courage, passion, determination, action and will to really save the whales over the last couple of years. They are : US CITIZENS AGAINST WHALING. The information is enclosed below . We hope you will give them a little hand so that they will go out to protect whales as much as they could for you. They are the one with action and no empty talking. What they have done and shown to us in the past is more than many of the wealthy multi-millions dollars " Save The Whales " groups in this country. We believe they will do much more for whales if they have the little needed support from you. Thanks for your caring , wisdom , and help. Humanity. ==================================== ----- Original Message From ----- " Sandy Abels " <grwhales This is the part of activism that I have the hardest time with. Our organization is fairly new and not yet well known. In the last year we have worked very hard to make a difference for the whales in US waters and in the world. We have organized successful protests, have had some reasonable success pushing politicians around on whaling issues (just ask Al Gore) and have worked to educate the public on the plight of whales. We are currently working on the Makah whale hunt, Revised Management Scheme, Japan and attacking tourism to the Eastern Caribbean where dolphin and whale killing occur in close proximity to US vacationers. We need your help to take our efforts to a higher level. We are trying to raise money to go to the IWC meetings in London and/or become NGOs for the 2002 IWC meetings when the Makah quota has expired. To do this we need $850 for the application fee and then funds for traveling to the IWC meetings. We are also hoping to raise enough money to buy a small ocean worthy boat. We hope to greet the Makah or Nu-chah-nulth when they again return to the ocean bent on turning the Pacific red. Funds will go towards the vessel, repairs, fuel and lodging. We also have 2 potential lawsuits on the horizon. Details coming at a later date. We also wish to continue with handing out our information flyers on Japan, Revised Management Scheme and the Makah. If we purchase our own copier we could potentially save thousands of dollars in printing expenses. At Office Max there is a great copier for $600. After that the only expense is paper and toner. As you can see we have rather lofty goals. Up till now we have been funding ourselves with our own paychecks for long distance calls, website, protest material and printing. If we are to accomplish the above we are going to need your help. We are now an official 501©3 nonprofit organization so all donations are tax deductible. ALL donations will go directly towards whale protection. If we don't raise enough money to meet the above goals we will use any donations as effectively as possible. If you are interested in helping, donations can be sent to: US Citizens Against Whaling 20105 Sunnyside Dr. N # E304 Shoreline, WA 98133 U.S.A. Tel: 206-361-0736 (U.S.A.) Email: grwhales (@mindspring.com ) We will try to avoid using this list for funding purposes and try to keep it informationally driven. Thank you. Hoping for peaceful oceans.
