Join PETA for a Month of Action Against Burger King

 

PETA is declaring March, " Murder King Month of Action. " Please

take at least one hour in the month of March to " be there " for all the

animals slaughtered by Burger King: Please hold a demonstration

or just pass out leaflets and stickers at your local Burger King

restaurant.

 

Please also write to your local paper about Burger King's failure to

act to stop egregious cruelty to animals. Find out all about the

Just 10 months into PETA's campaign against McDonald's, Dr. Temple

Grandin, an animal handling expert from Colorado State University, told

the Associated Press that she had seen more progress in alleviating

wanton cruelty in slaughterhouses " in the past six months, than in [her]

previous 20 years " of inspecting them. She had been working for

McDonald's for more than four years at this point, but it was PETA's

campaign, and your diligence, that won the day for the animals.

 

Now we must force industrywide change, and the next step is to make

Burger King follow McDonald's lead. To that end, PETA has produced

stickers, leaflets, posters, T-shirts, and an anti-Burger King video.

What we need from you is your TIME.

 

If McDonald's can change, so can Burger King, but not without your help!

 

Please join us in our new " Sponsor a Burger King " Campaign, which

entails leafleting or protesting at a Burger King restaurant in your

city

on a monthly basis (or even more often if you can). You can choose the

same outlet every time, or move your events to reach all the restaurants

in your city.

 

We are happy to supply leaflets, posters, sample news releases,

and media lists (all free of charge) for as many events as you are able

to organize. This might be as simple as one person distributing leaflets

(on your lunch hour, on a weekend, or before or after work) or a dozen

people with costumes, bullhorns, street theater, video, and so on.

Remember, one person leafleting makes a big difference both to

Burger King's management and to the people entering the Burger King.

And if you can get media to cover your event, you can reach thousands

(or even millions) more.

 

We are more than happy to help you at every stage.
