Each year, there are 1.4 millions of Americans in U.S.A. died from Heart disease , some cancers, strokes and diabetes due to the high saturated fat and high cholesterol foods from animal sources , according to US government figures. More than 25 Billion animals are raised and killed for food every year in the United States. Billions of chickens and millions of cows, and pigs are in great pain and agony from birth till death. The purpose of factory farms is to produce the most meat, milk, and eggs using the least amount of space, time, and money. The animals suffer the consequences of these shortcuts. They endure mutilation-chicks have their beaks burned off, cows and pigs are castrated without anesthesia, cows are dehorned and branded, and the list goes on-all without any painkillers. Some animals, such as veal calves, are kept in lonely isolation, while others, such as chickens, are crowded so closely together that they can barely move. Factory farmers restrict animals' movement, not only to save space, but also so that all their energy goes toward producing flesh, eggs, or milk for human consumption. They spend their lives confined to concrete stalls and metal cages, terrified and suffering in such unnatural conditions. Their fear and pain end only after they have been driven, without food or water and often in extreme weather, to the mechanized murder of today's slaughterhouse, where millions each year are skinned and dismembered while still conscious. Gail Eisnitz, the author of the " Slaughterhouse " , has a simple description of the cattle slaughter : " When a conscious cow arrives at the first hind-legger, usually the legger tries to make a cut to start skinning out the leg. Unfortunately, it is very difficult and dangerous to do that when an animal is kicking violently. So the legger will cut off the bottom part of the animal's leg he's working on with a pair of clippers. " Gail Eisnitz continued her testmony : " Due to the meteoric line speeds, workers are often unable to stun or bleed animals adequately, and as a result, animals proceed through the butchering process FULLY CONSCIOUS. Some of the slaughterhouse workers said " These hogs get up to the scalding tank, hit the water, and just start screaming and kicking. I'm not sure whether the hogs burn to death before the drowning. The water is 140 degrees. I do not believe hogs go into shock, because it takes them a couple of minutes to stop thrashing, I think they die slowly from drowning. " " Dear Chrysler, we are requesting you to stop such unhealthy, unethical and cruel advertisements immidiately. If you continue to promote animals cruelty directly or indirectly, we will spread words to all of our friends, relatives and all of our members to stop buying any of your cars ! We may also contact all of our local communities about your promoting animals cruelty and advise them not to buy your cars. We would be grateful to you for your immidiate attention on this issue. We are looking forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. Thanks. Sincerely Yours, names, addresses and email address .
