SAMPLE LETTER:

 

Dear Judge Rosenwasser:

 

I am writing in reference to the case against Shawn Hull, 23 years old, who

pleaded guilty to killing four cows, one of which was with calf. According

to reports, Mr. Hull took the lives of these animals because he was angry

with his boss.

 

According to The Center For Mental Health Services, animal abuse is now

recognized as a sign of mental disorder. Furthermore, 70% of those who have

been convicted of abusing animals have also been convicted of violent or

anti-social crimes against people.

 

Therefore, I am requesting that the harshest penalty be imposed against Mr.

Hull. In

addition, I strongly suggest that he receive mandatory psychological

counseling, be prohibited from ever owning or harboring animals.
