Hey all you animal lovers:

I'm a new member - a dog lover, rescuer and confirmed vegetarian who

earnestly converts others (with varied success). I wanted to make you

aware of the company i work for - I am so proud of what we do and I

want more people who think like me (compassion and action) to come join

in our discussions.

is the LEADER in pet-related content on the net, and we are focused on

rescue, adoption, education about animal issues and encouraging people

to take action, get the facts and STOP pets being exploited and

neglected. This issue we have a story about Greyhound abuse in Spain -

please read it, it's in the Newsbreak section. It's well-researched,

and talks about a very timely issue. Also, it shows ways you can help

with this problem. We always try to spotlight someone who's making a

difference in the world of animal protection. I find their stories so

inspiring. In this case, it's Anne Finch, a nurse who works 30 hour

straight shifts in a hospital in England and in her spare time (and

using a lot of her own money from her late mother's house sale) flies

to Spain and FIGHTS to save the thousands of gorgeous Greyhounds who

are killed every year in brutal ways by hunters and race track owners.

Also, we are doing an ongoing series on Doll Stanley Branscum, founder

of Project Hope, a groundbreaking sanctuary in the rural south. These

people need our support and help - without those of us who care they

can't go on. Plus we have lots of fun celebrity stuff, 5000 pages of

veterinary and training info and awesome message boards (and a market

that sells organic, premium stuff for allpets - for incredibly

reasonable prices.) I want to reach out to all of you who sincerely

care about pet rescue and protection and get you involved in our

community.. we need and want your input!
