Open letter from Mike

Dear friends and fellow activists,

 

Due to recent events, I thought I would post an update on my situation and my

comments.

 

First:

 

As most of you know, or should know by now (You'd better have read my

previous alerts or I SWEAR I will have Ann Landers give you ten lashes each

with a wet noodle!) that my assistants Greg and Judith Myers have been

successfull in gettting 21 state representatives to sign onto an anti

bestiality bill, due in a large part it seems to their lettes writing and

calls to Missouri State representatives.

 

The legislation has the support of the HSUS, ASPCA, MAAL and two other major

animal groups (one with 140,000 members) that I will refrain from posting

the names of untill they are better acquainted with this issue from the

animal abuse side and hopefully the Myers and I can line up an article for

their newsletters unemcumbered by the opposition.

All of these groups sent the Missouri state representatives a general letter

in support.

BRAVO!

If there are any other heads of animal groups reading this who would like to

add your group's general statement in support to the growing list of groups

supporting legislation making sex with animals illegal, please contact me.

 

Some of you may feel there are more important issues, while the mail I

receive indicates this issue is important to many! I respect that, but here

is an issue animal activists are going to have to make a stand on now because

it will no longer be ignored. Activists now have the opportunity to get this

bill passed and see it become law in Missouri and the other states as well.

 

This is us as a group standing up and making a statement: sexual activities

with animals is not acceptable, is abuse/abusive/explotative and we as a

group will no longer tolerate there being *NO* laws whatsoever against this

in 24 states!

 

The second issue is, as many, most, some? of you know, " Mike " is my pen-name,

also fairly well known and re-iterated on my web site for months now and in

posts, was the fact that I once was a zoophile who eventually sought help for

multiple problems and am a recovering *EX* zoophile who for the past two

YEARS has led the movement to make bestiality ILLEGAL as an animal abuse

issue.

 

What my formal name is, where I live, my phone number, the work I do and

other details have no bearing on this issue or my efforts and is known by a

handfull of good activist friends who understand and stick by me.

 

You may recall my posts last summer regarding death threats, harassment and

other such issues directed at me by ex peers and friends who still practice

bestiality, as expected, due to three major newspaper articles, Greg Myers

and I going on the radio in St. Louis, and of course the LEGISLATION- these

degenerates have just begun a major effort campaign mostly geared at

attacking me personally.

The attacks and harassment include public postings and email contacts

attempting to convince

the readers that I am any or all of the following:

 

1 Habitual liar

2 Religious fundy on a morality crusade

3 Out for revenge for supposedly being " rejected " by zoophiles

4 Harmed, or killed animals

 

I'll address item #1:

 

First, I have posted to usenet etc using various email accounts and names,

this was solely to protect my privacy, for security, and to throw my ex peers

off track as to who was propagating the promotion of legislation etc so I

could effectively do my work without their interference.

This also included posting details such as letting them believe I had church

affiliations when they posted in forums making the claim, or being married.

 

None of that of course had or has anything to do with the issue or

legislation but is being used now to try to claim I lied about that so lies

about everything else,

Simply not true.

Not choosing to put out personal details is not in itself a " lie " , it's

called privacy and security like having an unlisted number and caller ID

 

#2:

I have NO religious affiliation, I only support various church related issues

such as habitat for humanity, food banks, outreach programs and music etc.

The extent of my involvement in " the church " was providing some music in

exchange for using the facility and equipment for practice.

 

#3 and #4

I quit the on-line zoophilia forum when I started getting help to turn my

life around for the better, I was gone a full YEAR before I began my efforts

against this. Several years ago I was an angry, depressed, hopeless case with

few friends, a lousy high stress job I hated, and believed the prophetic

garbage about the world ending in 1999.

I attacked people in public forums wnoy and irritate or hurt them, and all

kinds of things because I was ill and under a lot of stress.

 

My goals all along were always for the benefit of dogs, I may not always have

done things the right way or the best way, Lord knows I made plenty of

mistakes there. I can document with scanned documents and letters- my deep

seated passionate involvement in canine health and welfare issues as far back

as 1982. Getting on line that continued, but unfortunately the zoophilia

problems and other personal issues got muddled in and mixed up. It all

eventually helped culminate in getting help, making changes and self

improvements.

 

So here we are 3 years later, now I can't change the past but I have proven

myself every day for the past 3 years, 2 years on the bestiality issue.

 

So this is how it is, each of you needs only know about the issue of sexual

abuse of animals, I am essentially a non issue, you have the confidence

knowing now the HSUS, MAAL, ASPCA and others are involved and they state in

no uncertain terms this is animal abuse- you don't even need take MY word for

it- listen to them then.

Anyone who receives email that attacks, or libels me should feel free to

forward it to me, if there are any questions raised by it, hey, just ask.

 

I have word that a zoophile I reported to a certain animal registry is about

to be contacted by their investigator, another zoophile I reported in

Michigan was removed from the University. The new legislation bill is going

thru the house in Missouri, 3 newspaper articles and a radio show happened

too. Progress is being made, and I started this two years ago.

The Dan House case prosecutor is going to use the suggestion to require House

to get mandated psychiatric help and prohibition from owning animals, I

helped start that.

 

Anyone who wishes to believe the worst in a person and that they can't change

for the better and decide they wish nothing to do with me, hey it's a free

country, that is fine, let me know and I will be glad to remove you from any

mailings I send seperately!

 

To the many others who have suported me and this issue and continue to do so,

I give my thanks to each of you even if sometimes I missed doing so

personally with a reply to your mail at times.
