Guest guest
Thank you!! to all of the activists and animal lovers who sent the representatives email, faxes and calls, it made a big difference because the anti-sex abuse of animals bill is now sponsored by TWENTY ONE representatives so far! and it is a bi-partisan effort! This is all but sure to pass, and we hope will become an example for the other states that currently lack ANY laws against sexual abuse of animals which often does not leave *outwardly visible* signs and is uncovered by most animal abuse laws which usually require visible signs of abuse. California's animal abuse law was shown to be ineffective in dealing with bestiality cases. The text of the bill is below, and the specifics are being worked out. I am trying to get mandatory psychological intervention as well as removal and prohibition of owning/working with animals as part of the sentence. The Daniel Bruce House case, Rice/Myers case and others elsewhere shows the dire need for more than JUST jail because they went back out again and re-offended. Here are some of their email addresses to which activists can write a THANKYOU for supporting HOUSE BILL NO. 1658, the anti bestiality/sex abuse bill: jpatek kholling aboykins chanaway wwagner dsummers kparker mbartle lbartels pmyers mblunt SECOND REGULAR SESSION HOUSE BILL NO. 1658 90TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY ------ INTRODUCED BY REPRESENTATIVES HANAWAY, HOLLINGSWORTH, BLUNT, WAGNER (Co-sponsors), BERKSTRESSER, BARTELS, MEYER, GASKILL, LADD STOKAN, BOYKINS, PARKER, SMITH, OSTMANN, TUDOR, LEVIN, MYERS, SUMMERS, PATEK, GIBBONS AND LOUDON. We're not a threat. If they knew, zoo legal states would decrease, the fines and prison sentences would increase, no one would be able to get an animal without being checked out, definitely no one would be able to get a job working with animals without being checked out.
