Guest guest
I saw some sad news on the BBC Ceefax service, re THE SPANISH WILD GOAT, also called THE PYRENEAN IBEX or MOUNTAIN GOAT. The last remaining animal of this species was found dead under a fallen tree in Aragon, NE Spain. Thus, they are now extinct. Even in the Fifties and Sixties there were quite a lot of them, so no prizes for guessing which creature is to blame for their demise. I've been told that some may still exist on Gibraltar - let's hope so. Remember, sitting back and doing nothing is not an option. That's why I formed this group - to stir people into action, and for people to give news of various campaigns. Latest news of the hippo now being in danger via poachers, and the first genetically engineered monkey - with 'research' in mind, means there are still many new campaigns to be fought. - P.
