Good News for Students

If you know a high school student who works for a more compassionate world through vegetarianism, you may want to remind him or her that two $5000 college scholarships are available every year from The Vegetarian Resource Group. The Vegetarian Resource Group recently reported that nearly a quarter of college students said that finding vegan meals on campus was important to them. According to their 2005 poll, 3% of 8 to 18 year olds are vegetarian (never eating meat, poultry, fish). In the same population, 11% of females said they never eat meat.
