Guest guest
***Because of Valentine's Day, this month's Bay Area Vegetarians' Palo Alto dinner will be on the 1st Tuesday at 7:00pm*** ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Our normal meeting time is the 2nd Tuesday of the month. However, I'd like to get feedback from folks to see if there is another week that works better for you all. If you would like to attend, but can't make it on the 2 nd Tuesday, please let me know. I'd also like to hear from the regulars to see if you'd like to keep it on the 2nd Tuesday, or you'd be open to another day. I'd like to try to accommodate as many people as I can. Also, Ravi, one of Bay Leaf's owners, and I have talked and we'd like to do something in addition to the regular dinner, such as having a special fixed-price dinner or showing animal-rights or animal-related movies after the dinner. I'd also like to hear from folks to see if this is something you'd be interested in and if the times would work. We'd have to start the movies after the restaurant closes at 9:00. Is this too late for people? Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated! ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************** For those of you who haven't been to Bay Leaf Cafe, you must come and try their yummy food. And you may just meet your new best friend (I did!) or maybe even your future significant other...you never know Three days after I moved to the Bay Area a little over a year ago, only knowing two people (who are not veg*ns), I decided to give this dinner a shot to try to meet some veg*ns. Well, I'm glad I went, because I met two people that night who have become my closest friends in the area And I've now taken over the hosting responsibilities. (Thanks are in order for our founding host Sean (southbaysean) and our most recent host Lena.) Bay Leaf Cafe is located in downtown Palo Alto at 520 Ramona Street (cross street is University). Bay Leaf offers delicious vegan soups, sandwiches and ice cream, including vegan ice cream from MaggieMudd. Bay Leaf Cafe is vegan owned and operated. All dishes are vegan and organic when possible. For more info, go to Bay Area Vegetarians' events calendar: http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=17 Free parking is usually relatively easy to find and the Caltrain station is just down the street. RSVP is appreciated to insure seating with the group. Walk-ins accommodated as space permits. Please reply here or at the BAV events calendar: http://www.bayareaveg.org/events.htm?EID=1129#1129 Looking forward to seeing new folks and the regulars.
