Guest guest
Hi folks Bay Area Vegetarians is developing an opportunity to do a free cooking class for low-income individuals in San Francisco. The idea is to reach a non-veg audience who would not typically attend a cooking class, and show them how vegan foods are the cheap and healthy, and compassionate, choice. They would also be able to taste all the foods, too. If you're interested in sponsor this undertaking by pledging a donation (towards space rental, food costs, etc), please email me with your interest and an estimate of what you'd contribute. The date for this undertaking would be in July. If we had enough interest, perhaps we could also send the participants home with a vegan cookbook. Suggestions for the name of the class are also welcome (something more appetizing than "Quick, Cheap, and Easy Cooking"). Feedback/input on this idea welcome! Cheers, Tammy BayAreaVeg.org Map it Veg! http://www.frappr.com/baveg http://www.frappr.com/vegetarians ____ "This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
