good technique for discussions on SFBAVEG

Hi folks

Just a reminder - we encourage people (when replying to posts) to cut/paste only the relevant portion of the original post. Discussions are good - sharing opinions are good - please just cut/paste.

Why cut/paste?

Many people read messages from SFBAVEG in digest mode, which is a daily compilation of all the individual messages and trailers. When these messages are in fact replies containing the preceding earlier message(s), it gets very convoluted to read, unnecessarily large, and typically people will miss your response.

So, we ask that you "cut" (copy) the relevant portion you're replying to and "paste" it into a new email (or just delete the unnecessary pieces). The digest people and people on dial-up will appreciate your thoughtfulness.

A big thanks to everyone who has been so great about signing their posts and cutting/pasting the relevant portions in replies. These actions may seem little, but they go a long ways towards keeping this list as a friendly, vibrant, and easy-to-read community resource.

Cheers,
