Guest guest
I am an ordained Zen monk residing at San Francisco Zen Center who practices ¡ÈShojin Ryori¡É a Japanese monastery style cooking. Shojin is based on Buddha¡Çs teaching and it so happens that it is vegan. I will be cooking dinner for approximately fifty residents at Kokoro Assisted Living in Japan town, San Francisco on Sunday January 15th. We will start prepping around noon on Sunday and serve dinner at 5PM. You can drop by for just a couple of hours if you have some other plans and I can definitely use some help serving food, as we need to prepare fifty individual trays (of food). Kitchen skill, of course, is preferred but not necessary. What matters the most is your intention to enjoy the event and willingness to connect with people through food. This is a voluntary event/position and it¡Çs a wonderful way to meet many people especially many elderly residents at Kokoro Assisted Living. If interested, please email me at kaz Thank you.
