Guest guest
It's been 1 year and 7 months since Bay Area Vegetarians launched the Ultimate Guide to Vegetarian Living in the SF Bay Area (UG). For folks new to the list, it's a searchable database of vegetarian foods (restaurants, natural food stores, farmer's markets, etc) and services, with the option to print a standard or custom guide (for veggie people, it's better than American Express - don't leave home without it!) Currently, with over 400 entries and nearly 800 customer reviews, the Ultimate Guide is one of the most popular features on our website. It's a great resource for folks new to the Bay Area or new to vegetarianism to find great places to eat veg. (Note - if you are vegetarian and own a storefront business or offer a service, you can advertise for free in the Ultimate Guide) http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug With over 80 vegetarian restaurants in the Bay Area, sometimes it's hard to choose. That's where the user reviews are very helpful. If you'd like to contribute a review for your favorite restaurants, it's very easy and this is a useful contribution. For more info, see below http://www.bayareaveg.org/blog/index.php?title=ultimate_guide_review The Veg Food Finder functionality launched August 5th. VFF enables users to enter an address and search radius and find vegetarian foods from the 400+ active business entries in UG. http://www.bayareaveg.org/finder Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the Ultimate Guide with their additions, suggestions, and reviews. Please keep the information coming! Also, please, share this resource with others you know who are veg or enjoy eating veg. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
