Like little blind sheep, you obediently do whatever PeTA says without questioning. This is an organization that kills innocent animals by the thousands. Wake up. They want to put an end to all companion animals. Better dead than lounging on your sofa.
Guest guest
Before this discussion degenerates to personal attacks, which are neither productive for the non-human animals we are working to help, nor for the human animals who are trying, in the face of great societal adversity to promote positive change for everyone, maybe we can simply learn the lesson that seems to be at the heart of this. I believe that lesson to be that if any of us has important information about things we should be aware of while trying to help animals, that we should share it with each other so that we can be as strategic and effective as possible. I also think that while it is natural and healthy to have debate and disagreement over how to be most effective and to voice that, I believe it is crucial that we be as kind, respectful and compassionate in our communication and encouraging of each other as possible, so as to support each other for the good we are all trying to accomplish and so as not to lose our focus to in-fighting. I also want to thank Thea for the energy and diligence with which she hosts letter-writing parties. Encouraging people to come together and express ourselves is an important avenue for our voices to be heard. Thank you all for all the actions you take to help animals. Love, Alicia
Guest guest
Thank you, Alicia. You took the words out of my mouth. Isn't there enough hostility in the world without adding to it. Those of us working for or at least looking forward to the day when there is greater compassion all around are already burdened by the awful reality which persists. Let's try to be kind to ourselves and each other so that the kindness can spread to our non-human brethren. Sermon over.
