THE 411 ON FOSTER FARMS

As the largest poultry producer in the Western United States, Foster

Farms emphasizes a commitment to advancing animal welfare and product

quality. Despite its exceptional economic growth, Foster Farms fails to

provide adequate care for its animals. Each week Foster Farms slaughters

over five million chickens for food. Foster Farms’ products are produced

under a set of conditions vastly different than what the term 'humane'

reasonably and objectively represents. The actual set of conditions at

Foster Farms include: husbandry methods that intentionally induce

prolonged pain and suffering, inadequate veterinary care and unsanitary

conditions. Learn more about EBAA's investigation of Foster Farms at

www.fosterfacts.net.

THE 411 ON SAFEWAY

Safeway is one of Foster Farms’ largest retailers. As a leader on animal

welfare in the food industry and major retailer of Foster Farm products,

Safeway plays an important role in influencing compassionate business

practices for Foster Farms.

At my Safeway's, they're at every register. Grab a couple and send one about Foster Farms, encourage them to carry more or specific vegan products, etc.Cheers,Tammy

____

"This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
