Hi folks,

The SFBAVEG mailing list is a community resource for the local San Francisco Bay Area vegetarian and animal rights community provided by Bay Area Vegetarians. As you know from reading the emails, it has become a resource widely used by both individuals and other organizations in the SF Bay Area.

Since 2001, we've had volunteer admins who help keep SFBAVEG as a local resource for the veg and animal rights community, and insure its smooth operation on a day-to-day basis.

Within the next few months, we would like to find two new volunteers to help with SFBAVEG. If you are interested in learning more about what an admin does, please review the volunteer responsibilities and email me with your interest.

Here's a brief who's who in the current SFBAVEG admin team:

Karen: Karen volunteered to be an admin in mid-February, and has quickly become a valued team member.

Kim: After two and a half years as an admin (Apr 2002 - Sept 2005), Kim decided to step down from her primary role as an admin but has graciously agreed to stay on as a backup for a few more months. (Even volunteer admins go on vacation!)

Tammy & Chris: Started the list in October 2001, and incorporated Bay Area Vegetarians as a non-profit in 2005.

Cheers,Tammy

"This is my protest against the conduct of the world. To be a vegetarian is to disagree--to disagree with the course of things today. Starvation, world hunger, cruelty, waste, wars--we must make a statement against these things. Vegetarianism is my statement and I think it's a strong one." -- Isaac Bashevis Singer
