Guest guest Posted December 3, 2005 Report Share Posted December 3, 2005 I haven't been to Japan, buy my experience with Hong Kong was that there are a lot of vegetarian restaurants and that most of the people there speak enough English that you should be able to explain exactly what you would like. It's been a couple of years since I was there, but I went to a couple of the restaurants mentioned on www.vegdining.com and had great food. There are a handful of veggie options if you stick to food that caters to westerners, but supposedly most restaurants use fish broth in everything. If you get stuck, I hear that asking around for Buddhist food should get what you want.
