KFC Bay Area PETA Campaign

Hello everyone, Regarding the daily PETA KFC campaign: The Oakland KFC has been targeted for shut down. To that end, I am asking for volunteers to demonstrate at this Oakland KFC next to the Grand Lake Theater at Lake Merritt:470 Lake Park Avenue Maps:http://maps./maps_result?addr=470+Lake+Park+Avenue & csz=94610 & country=us & new=1 & name= & qty=I am committing an hour every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6-7pm. Although they have a steady business, it appears to be light and this is a small location in a highly trafficked area.I'm asking people to commit to an hour on their chosen day. Any amount of time you can manage is welcome. Once a week (or more) is ideal but even if you can commit to just one day per month, it would be helpful. All you have to do is let me know the day(s) you're available and I'll take care of the rest.If you'd like to sign up, please respond to this notice with a specific day you'd like to participate. Or tell me how many times you'd like to go and I'll sign you up on a day where help is needed. The best times to demonstrate are between 6-7 PM on the weekdays or 12-1 PM on the weekends. However, if you cannot make either of those time frames, any time you can spare can be accommodated and would be appreciated.* Monday–Friday from 6-7 PM * Saturday and Sunday from 12-1 PMI can make myself available to join in many of the scheduled demos if your times happen to vary from the recommended itinerary. I also have the privilege of using a PETA body TV screen to show KFC patrons and passers-by video footage of what chickens go through to become food. As you can imagine, this is extremely effective. Please Note:You don't have to have activist or demonstration experience to participate in this campaign. Although an activist all my life, I started my first solid campaigning only a year ago, and it was a new experience for me. I can guarantee you can make a difference in this venture if you can donate even a small amount of time.I will do my best to make sure I or another experienced activist can participate; I don't expect anyone to do this alone (but it's fun when you do!).
