SF Food Bank wants TOFURKYS!

Hi folks,

 

Some of you may recall Warren posted a plea from the SF Food Bank for Tofurkys for Thanksgiving. A few of us are interested in pooling our funds to buy Tofurkys to donate for the December holidays to the food bank.

 

I wanted to get a headcount of who might be interested in participating in donating to buy Tofurkys to give to the SF Food Bank. Once I get a number of how much money we have, it'll be easier to plan further.

 

If you are interested in donating towards this effort, please email me with your name and donation amount. Any amounts, small or large, are welcome, and contributions will be tax-deductible. Once we've got everything organized, we'll follow-up with more info on sending the $$. Right now just trying to get more info to see how many Tofurkys we might be able to get.

 

You can also contact the Food Bank if you want to drop off a Tofurky. Here's the info from Warren's original email:

 

You can drop them off at their warehouse on 900 Pennsylvania (at 23rd) in SF Monday-Friday 9-5pm, or on Saturday from 9-1pm.

 

Regardless of whether you eat a lot or a little of soy, whether you like faux meats or not, let's give less fortunate veg*ns the option to have a vegan Tofurky at their holiday meal.
