BAVeg Book Club info first meeting and meeting places change

Hi Everybody,

There are currently 4 people signed up for the first meeting of the BAVeg book club, where we'll discuss novels & general nonfiction books 7 or 8 times a year. The first meeting is to be held on Sunday, 1/22/06 at 5 at a veg*n restaurant still to be determined. We'll have an early vegan dinner while we discuss the book. There is room for 9 participants, so we can take up to 5 more people for the first meeting. The deadline (as long as space is available) for you to RSVP is Thursday 1/5/06. On 1/22 we will be discussing the novel The Kite Runner.

Decisions about future books will be determined at meetings and you can also post your ideas for books and restaurants at www.bayareaveg.org/forum/ under the category BAVeg Book Club; you should see the appropriate topic there for you to post.

If you've been following our book club thread at bayareaveg.org/forum/ under the category BAVeg Book Club, I've edited my own posts there to reflect the change in meeting time and places and the number of members we will accept.

Keeping the meetings to 9 participants and eating while we talk should make the meetings more informal and enjoyable, and will allow for full participation by all attendees.

I'm hoping that this will be a fun activity for those who enjoy reading, eating vegan food, and meeting other vegans/vegetarians/interested people.
