Guest guest
Hey Folks, I was sad to see the SF Food Bank asking for turkeys for Thanksgiving so I wrote to them and asked if they would also take a tofurky and they said absolutely yes! They said they serve a number of vegetarian and vegan clients each day. They also said that last Thanksgiving they distributed about 23 Tofurkys and are hoping to see that number grow. Please help out our less fortunate vegan friends if you can and donate a Tofuky for Thanksgiving to the SF Food Bank. Maybe one day the SF food bank will switch to only tofurkys! You can drop them off at their warehouse on 900 Pennsylvania (at 23rd) in SF Monday-Friday 9-5pm, or on Saturday from 9-1pm. Warren

For folks who don't live in SF and want to contribute, try contacting a similar organization in your city. And, I'm wondering, is there enough interest that we can organize something for December? It could be as simple as collecting money to buy Tofurkys to donate to the SF Food Bank, or we can try to be more organized (example - contact local stores that sell Tofurkys who may give us a discount or sell at wholesale). If you would be interested in helping or donating to purchase a Tofurky, please email me so we can coordinate efforts.
