Guest guest
FROM: ERIN WILLIAMS, THE HSUS Hi all, I'm sure that you have seen today's announcement that Trader Joe's and HSUS have reached an agreement regarding the eggs that Trader Joe's sells. This is a huge victory for the animals, in effect freeing about 380,000 hens from the confines of abusive battery cages. We couldn't be more thrilled about it here, and on behalf of HSUS, I'd like to thank you for all of your tremendous activism on this issue. As you know, there are a number of Trader Joe's in the Bay Area, and there were a lot of you who were out there regularly, leafleting, talking to managers, holding banners, and more. Especially since the Bay Area is such a huge market for Trader Joe's, your efforts made a HUGE difference. For more information on the agreement, you can check out our home page at www.hsus.org. We also understand that KGO-TV will be airing a followup story tonight, scheduled for the 6:30 news on Channel 7. Again - thank you so much, and stay tuned for the next phase of the No Battery Cages campaign! For the animals, Erin
