Guest guest
I would also suggest contacting the organizers of the Green Festival (Co-op America, Global Exchange, etc.) and share your concerns as well as your experience with them. Of course, it's up to you whether you wish to name the specific party in question. They probably would want to know, in any event. In my opinion, a vendor making false claims and demonstrating such a hostile, non-vegn, non-Green attitude does not belong at a venue promoting a more sustainable, compassionate, humane world. My two cents. Ron Landskroner - 11/5/2005 7:50:55 PM Vegan Friendly with Honey?!?! Hey Folks, I was at the Green Festival today and noticed this company called Divinely D' lish selling granola bars that were labeled "Vegan Friendly with honey". What?!?! I thought. How can a single item be vegan friendly. That doesn't make sense. I spoke to the owner and she said the bar was named after a friend who says he is vegan but he eats honey. I told her that if the bar has honey it isn't vegan. She told me there is no legal definition of vegan and she could put anything she wants on her label. She was extremely hostile and told me that she was done talking with me and then walked away. Please contact her and let her know that her bar is not vegan and that saying it's vegan friendly makes no sense. Here is the description of the bar and her email is at the bottom of the page. http://www.divinelydlish.com/catalog/billy_s_bar_12-pack_of_2_oz_granola_bars_4666388.htm Thanks.
