non-wool suits

Hi,

I'm looking for a non-wool/non-wool blend (i.e. vegan) suit or

tuxedo--something appropriate for a " black tie optional " wedding (and

beyond!) Are their any vegan-friendly clothiers in SF (or greater Bay

Area) who can help me out? I tried Men's Wearhouse and they said the

only non-wool or non-blend suits they have were silk, so that doesn't

help me. I could let my fingers do the walking but I thought I would

ask the community first.

Just a couple of months ago we were on this very quest. Chris needed a tux to wear to the PETA Gala in LA. The closest we could find was a light cotton suit. It was pretty discouraging and quite a few of the sales people told us that all the finer suits would be wool! (poor sheep) One sales person recommended JC Penney's (thinking that a store with more inexpensive clothes would be likelier to have "cheaper" non-wool suits) but we were just plain tired from shopping. Eventually, a friend recommended an online retailer selling a poly tux - www.cheaptux.com It wasn't the greatest suit, but it was non-wool! Here's a couple pics of it. Funny, when we got to the gala, we found Chris wasn't the only one who'd ordered from cheaptux. There's a couple pictures of Chris wearing the actual tux in the photo gallery on the link above.

If anyone has other resources for stuff like this, please share.
