Sorry to be the bearer of these tidings, but a friend of mine to whom I

passed on the info about this restaurant stopped by to order something, and

on asking, learned that the soy cheese they use contains casein, an animal

product.

 

She talked with the owner, who acknowledged the problem and said he's

working on ordering a brand of truly vegan soy cheese that melts. I suppose

if a number of us express an interest in a vegan product from him, he might

be inclined to move more swiftly on the issue. Until then, it is vegetarian

fare, but not vegan. And when someone learns that he has made the change,

please share the info with the list. Thanks.

Because of the minimum required from their distributor, one idea is for people to bring in their own Follow Your Heart cheese, and they'll make a pizza for you with that. They also reduce the price when you do that. So, that's one option as well.
