Guest guest
October 17, 2005 Here's an opportunity which local animal groups should not miss. I recently received an invitation from JUNIOR STATE OF AMERICA (Headquarters: 400 South El Camino Real, #300, San Mateo 94402, tel. 800/334-5353 (David Beiser), or 650/347-7200). I've had a table there twice in the past three years. Both times I was the ONLY one there with any animal or environmental literature. I don't know if tables are still available, but it's certainly worth a call. The kids were VERY responsive, and many of them will be going into politics. They're from all over northern California, and this is a great chance to spread the animal word. FROM THE INVITATION: " We would like to invite you to participate in our annual Fall State Political Fair being held at the Santa Clara Marriott, 2700 Mission College Blvd. in Santa Clara on Saturday, November 19, 2005. The Junior State of America is a non-partisan, non-profit, student-run organization committed to educating high school youth about government, law, and politics. Over one thousand students from all over northern California will attand, and with your presence, we look forward to widening the political possibilities of students.....The Fair will be held from 3-10-5:50 p.m. You are welcome to come any time after 2:10 p.m. to set up. If you would like to come earlier to view part of the convention, you are welcome. We will supply a table anad two chairs. " AND IT'S FREE. Cheers, Eric Mills, coordinator ACTION FOR ANIMALS
