Guest guest
Hi folks! Sorry for the short notice - but I hope you can make it! I'm going to try to be there, and I know at least a few others will be too. Cheers, Tammy Sarah McCluskey [sMcCluskey] Monday, October 17, 2005 1:30 PMSarah McCluskeyURGENT! Please join us TOMORROW, 10/18, to protest ACS' surgical training on pigs Hi! I hope this e mail finds you well! I am writing to you today regarding an urgent matter in San Francisco. The American College of Surgeons (ACS) is using 100 pigs for various surgical training exercises at their 91st Annual Clinical Congress, which began this past Sunday. PETA has determined that scientifically validated non-animal alternatives are available for ACS’ training exercises. We have called on ACS to make the responsible and compassionate decision to drop its pig labs in favor of approved alternatives. Local PETA activists will be protesting ACS’ pig labs tomorrow, October 18th at the Moscone Convention Center. We apologize for the short notice, but it would be great if you could make it out there! As usual, all materials will be provided for you, so just bring yourself and anyone else that may want to attend! All of the details are below: What: Protesting ACS’s pig labs When: Tuesday, October 18th, from noon to 1pm (if you have to work tomorrow, we would love to have you join us for your lunch break!) Where: The Moscone Convention Center, Fourth and Howard Streets, (Howard side) If you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Wood, at StephanieW, or 757-962-8247. And please cross-post this message to anyone who you think might be interested in joining the protest! Thanks so much for everything that you do for animals! PETA is thankful that you’re on the activist network and we encourage you to take full advantage of that network by contacting us anytime with questions, requests or concerns!
