Guest guest
This Monday about 120-150 animals will be arriving at the Watsonville Airport for the Santa Cruz SPCA. Peace, Love & Pets has been asked to assist in bringing items from our warehouse for their use, as well as meet at the airport to assist in transferring the animals. The Doris Day Foundation has booked this very special flight ; expected to arrive at 6:00 PM. (this will be determined once they leave Louisiana in the morning.) We would LOVE for volunteers to take part in this opportunity!! We need: Cars/Trucks that can load up supplies at our warehouse then we'll caravan down to the Watsonville Airport to await the plane. Assist in transferring the animals, then continue on to the Santa Cruz SPCA. There we will unload and assist with intake of the animals. We expect to start loading up at the warehouse around 2:00 Monday afternoon and will then depart for Watsonville around 4:00. PLAN ON THIS BEING A LONG DAY EVENT!!! (all of these times are subject to change) PLEASE come help us out and sign up to foster an animal as well!!! Contact me - colleen ASAP!! We need a strong turnout of friendly faces for these animals! ALSO-- it doesn't hurt to ask... FOR 3 DAYS ONLY.. the Santa Cruz SPCA needs to borrow: an Animal scale (walk on type from your vet) a wood's light or just a good old black light (tests ringworm) attached is the press release.
