Hi Everybody,

 

Please check out http://www.bayareaveg.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=49 which is there for us to plan and discuss the BAVeg Book Club which is starting monthly in 2006.

 

Several of us have been discussing this book club idea at bayareaveg.org/forum, where there is also a general discussion board and a mentor program board.

 

The tentative plan is to have 11 or 12 monthly book club meetings in 2006. The first meeting will be in January where we will discuss a novel: The Kite Runner. We will read 7 or 8 general (novels, nonfiction) books a year, and Tammy will also hold 4 meetings, the first of which will take place in February, where we'll discuss animal rights and vegetarian books. Please check out the above URL for more information including the tentative schedule, and to give your suggestions and feedback, and to express interest.

 

For now the book club proposal information is being given via this email list, the BAVeg newsletters, and the forum web site. If sufficient interest is not shown within this group, I'll also be posting to craigslist.org and readerscircle.org, and possibly to other local veg*n organizations, to look for participants.
