Dear Animal Advocates, Guardians, Vigilers, Lovers and Liberators:

The coming weeks are important ones regarding the (ab)use of animals at University of California (UCSF).

For starters; beginning next week - on September 26 (Monday), In Defense of Animals (IDA) plans to have a "presence" for 5 days (Monday thru Friday) at UCSF as we approach the USDA hearing on October 4 - 14 regarding UCSF's alleged violations of the Animal Welfare Act; venue is:

Federal Building Courtroom 2-1350 (2nd Floor)450 Golden Gate AvenueSan Francisco, California .

The demonstration dates - September 26 - 30, at UCSF - will regard the USDA's 75 citations of UCSF for violations of the Animal Welfare Act. IDA has recently created 2 banners and designed leaflets especially for the occasion. It would be great to have about a half dozen activists per day at UCSF in the coming week. Please contact me as soon as possible if you can commit to leaflet 11 AM to 1 PM at UCSF (Parnassus Campus) on any of the 5 days starting on September 26 (Monday) and ending September 30 (Friday).

PS: And please remember October 15 - 23, which marks National Primate Liberation Week (NPLW), as it is called by Stop Animal Exploitation Now (SAEN). As of now there are no set plans for demonstrating at UCSF during NPLW, so if anyone is interested in helping to organize something around this, please let me know.
