Please call the White House! FEMA is still not letting rescue groups in to save the animals and the soldiers have been told not to rescue any.

Someone was told by Homeland Security yesterday, that believe it or not, the way to get this solved is to have 1000 people call the White House to demand that the military go in and save these animals.

Hi Marilyn - Forgive me, but how do you know this? Initially, rescue groups were not allowed in, but I think that has changed. I'm receiving e-mail updates from the HSUS and they say they are in and rescuing. I also have seen news broadcasts reporting on the animal rescue. From what I hear, animals are arriving in California daily from the Katrina affected areas. Are you sure your information is not outdated?

I just want to make sure b/f I start calling.

Thanks - Moyamarilyn maurer <mmaurer60610 wrote:

Our first duty to our little brothers and sisters, the animals, is never to do them any harm. Our responsibilities do not end there, however. We are obligated to help them whenever they require it. – Saint Francis
